Who we are

Club Cappuccino is run by Club Cappuccino Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09817379). Our registered office is Marston House 5, Elmdon Lane, Marston Green, Solihull B37 7DL, and the café is at 4 Fox Hollies Road, Walmley, Sutton Coldfield B76 2RJ.

We’re the controller of the personal information described in this policy. If you’ve got any questions about it, or want to make a request about your information, call us on 0121 351 7988 or ask us in the café.

The information we collect

  • When you phone us, for example to arrange afternoon tea: your name, your phone number, and what you tell us, such as the date, how many of you are coming and any dietary needs or allergies.
  • When you visit the website: our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that the website can be delivered and kept secure. Our image service processes the same kind of information when your browser loads the photos.

We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and it doesn’t set cookies.

How we use it

  • To reply to you and arrange your visit or afternoon tea. We do this because you’ve asked us to.
  • If you tell us about allergies or dietary needs, we use that only to prepare food that’s safe for you, and only because you’ve chosen to tell us.
  • To run the website and keep it secure. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure website.

We don’t use your information for marketing, we don’t sell it, and we don’t make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We use two service providers for this website, who handle information on our behalf and may only use it to provide their service to us:

  • Netlify, Inc. hosts this website. Netlify is based in the United States.
  • ImageKit (ImageKit Private Limited and ImageKit Inc.) delivers the photos on this website.

We may also share information where the law requires us to. We don’t share it with anyone else without your agreement.

Links to Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

International transfers

Netlify and ImageKit are based in, or may process information in, countries outside the UK, including the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, it’s protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep booking details, and any notes about dietary needs or allergies, for 12 months, then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information
  • object to us using your information
  • ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation

To make a request, call us on 0121 351 7988 or ask us in the café. There’s normally no charge, and we’ll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please talk to us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
